Risk

Original Airdate: August 18, 2008

This this week's episode of the SuperAverage Podcast, we talk about the topic of "Risk". No, not the board game, but the real life chances we take. We ask questions such as "Is there such thing as a 'smart risk'" and "Is being risky equivalent to being Christ-like?" All this and much more on this week's SuperAverage Podcast.

Right on!

Great discussion! It was especially interesting to me because I had just posted on our church website about a similar subject, since it's one that's impacted my life greatly. It was fun to hear you mention several of the things I've learned along the way, and some new ideas. Thanks for taking the risk for a risky discussion :)

For me it all flows out of intimacy with God through His Word and prayer, and then experiencing His constant presence in daily life. If we deeply trust that He leads us and is faithful to walk with us through everything, we're ready to follow Him everywhere. Even then we fall short of the courage and faithfulness of Jesus and His followers we see in the Bible. How can refuse Him when He calls us to action, even if it is risky?! It's not about us, but about God's faithfulness and His grace in embracing us as co-workers in His mission.
